I said "Where'd you get your information from, punk?"

I broke 28k. That was just this morning. I fell asleep at the computer last night, tired both in mind and body. Drank my way throgh a pot of coffee and plowed through a wonderful Waffle-House-style breakfast made by mah man while writing and alternately searching playlist.com for Me First and the Gimme Gimmes tracks since everyone was burned out on the Beatles, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Beastie Boys (my writing music). Multi-tasking, I has it!
I've got to get groceries for the week (or at least for the next few days), make some phone calls, actually spend face time with my family and maybe even take a shower. I've four days off this week and plan on using every moment to write. Novel has once more gotten bigger than I am. One of the minor characters has made herself so likeable, I'm finding it hard to keep her minor.
Still hoping to finish by the 29th.
*sighs* Gotta stretch and make more coffee. Or a catpuccino...

The Cassandra Project will be suspended until December. I just broke 20k. 30k left, 10 days left. No time for love, Doctor Jones!
Chris Baty is responsible for this madness but he left me with a pricelss gem: a list of plot devices. I've 30k and I'm determined to use each thing he mentions in the remaining word count. *rubs hands together*
Bext was Iron Monkey reading what I've done so far. He was so upset he came in the room where I was babbling about my story to mah man. All the kid could do was blubber "Why?"

Found this at the NaNoWriMo website: Jonathan Stroud's pep talk. Even if you're not participating, even if you're not a writer these pep talks are good reading.
My word count is painfully low, I'm angsty that I won't make it BUT...I have to try. I've GOT to get more coffee in my system...

Iron Monkey is practically dogging my steps until I finish this novel. Chapter One is done but he says I could water it down some. I say lots of interesting stuff hanppens, why bog it down with trivial crap?
What do you guys think?
